Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Baking tray
  • Parchment paper
  • Freezer
  • No fancy gadgets required—just your basics.

Ingredients

  • Yogurt: The Creamy Star
  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt full-fat or low-fat
  • Greek yogurt gives your bark that smooth and creamy base. If you prefer a dairy-free option coconut yogurt works too.
  • Sweeteners: Natural Choices
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • A little sweetness balances the tartness of the yogurt. You don’t need much.
  • Fruits and Toppings
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries sliced
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts almonds, pistachios, or walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds optional
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the Tray
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper. This step makes it easy to lift and break the bark once it’s frozen.
  • Mix Yogurt and Sweetener
  • In your bowl, combine:
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • Stir until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread the Yogurt
  • Pour the mixture onto the lined tray. Spread it out with a spatula to about 1/4 inch thick. Try to keep it even, so it freezes well.
  • Add Fruits and Toppings
  • Now the fun part! Sprinkle:
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • Press them lightly into the yogurt so they stay in place.
  • Freeze and Break the Bark
  • Freeze the tray for at least 3–4 hours. When it’s fully solid, remove it and break the bark into pieces with your hands.
