Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Creamy Garlic Sauce

Parmesan Crusted Chicken

Prep Time 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese freshly grated for best results
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika adds color and depth
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter for frying
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced (fresh garlic gives the best flavor)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for a hint of spice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Method

  1. Sauté the Garlic
  2. In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic, as it can turn bitter.
  4. Add the Cream and Seasoning
  5. Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring.
  6. Add the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  7. Stir continuously for about 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes smooth.
  8. Finish the Sauce
  9. Once the sauce reaches the desired creamy consistency, remove it from heat.
  10. Stir in freshly chopped parsley for added flavor and color.
